PIC conducts the NCC, NSS and Rover-Ranger activities which play a great role in character building and transforming the feel of ‘I’ into ‘We’ and ‘self’ into ‘other’. PIC takes note of these activities that they do not turn into fake and fraud activities. The entire aim of these activities should be developmental and not disastrous. PIC makes serious efforts towards such extra-curricular activities and has a valuable experience to enrich the curricular atmosphere through the intervention among these extra-curricular activities.
NSS was established in PIC with an objective to identify the needs and problems of the community and involve the students and teachers in a problem solving process to make them sensitive to the society.
To develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
To understand the community in which they work.
To acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude.
The mission of Scouting is to contribute to the education of young people, through a value based system i.e. the ‘Scout promise and law’, which helps to build a better world where people are sensitive towards the society and play a constructive role.
