Cultural Activities
Freshers’ Party- The Genesis
Newly inducted undergraduate and postgraduate students participate in the Genesis Freshers’ Party. Every year, an effort is made to ensure that the maximum number of students participate in activities of their own choice. Consequently, most students become free, bold, creative, and actively participate in the forthcoming two to three years.
Teachers’ day
Teacher’s Day is celebrated by honoring all the teachers with the participation of students. Teachers showcase various activities such as dances, dandiya, drama, songs, and more in front of all the college students, aiming to motivate them to step out of their comfort zones and express themselves. The teachers collectively perform a group dance, and a ramp show is organized to provide exposure to both teachers and students. These presentations make the teachers role models for the students. The following day, teachers are greeted with even more cheers, closeness, respect, and bonding. This event has been a splendid experience for the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), which has a profound impact on everyone, including guests from the university and other colleges. The guests are overwhelmed by the activities and the underlying message conveyed through the presentations.
Rasrang: Annual Cultural Fest
It is an annual cultural festival featuring various activities. PIC makes determined efforts to ensure maximum student participation in these activities, which are managed by the students themselves with guidance from the teachers.
Every year, a wide range of cultural activities such as dance, drama, debate, elocution, fancy dress, ramp shows, songs, instrumental music, poetry, storytelling, essay writing, mehndi, rangoli, painting, and sports competitions are held. These days are characterized not only by enthusiasm but also by a lively and energetic atmosphere.
Annual Function-Strength and Talent shown in various areas during the year
This is a typical function celebrated in colleges, but in PIC, it is a movement aimed at reinforcing the enthusiasm that has prevailed throughout the entire academic year. The extent of participation can be assessed by the fact that certificates and prizes are awarded to a maximum number of students every year.
Farewell: A voyage for new horizons of career
In PIC, the Farewell program is a collective celebration of both joy and tears – joy for their new future and tears for their parting. The senior students are bid farewell by singing farewell songs, while the entire college stands together, holding each other’s hands to express a sense of togetherness. This emotional farewell marks the culmination of two to three years during which students and teachers have lived on the college premises, sharing wisdom and emotions together, forming a strong bond within the Parishkar Parivar.
