I like to work in this field because here I see my growth as well as of my students.
Subject overview: As a mathematics teacher, I believe that mathematics is not just a subject, but a way of thinking and problem-solving. My goal is to help students develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and their applications and to equip them with the skills and tools they need to solve real-world problems.
In my mathematics classes, I focus on building a strong foundation of mathematical knowledge, starting with the basics and gradually building up to more advanced concepts. I believe that it is important for students to not only learn how to solve problems but also to understand why and how the solutions work. To achieve this, I use a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, group discussions, and hands-on activities, that cater to different learning styles.
My mathematics curriculum covers a range of subjects, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics. I also incorporate real-life examples and applications of mathematical concepts to help students understand how mathematics is relevant to their everyday lives. In addition, I encourage my students to ask questions and to think critically, so that they can develop the skills they need to solve complex problems on their own.
By the end of my mathematics course, I hope to have instilled in my students a love for mathematics, confidence in their abilities, and a set of skills that will help them succeed in their future academic and professional endeavours.
